I bought the tray on my coffee table at Pottery Barn and I am always changing what is inside of it. They add another layer to the couch that I like, I really noticed a gap when I put my Christmas pillows away. I bought these soft velvet pillows at Pier1 last weekend.

To see what they looked like before I transformed them (and my living room for that matter) click here. I’m still loving the color of these side tables. Harper likes to sit on the window sill and watch the squirrels so I need to make a cushion so she doesn’t scratch the wood. I have 5 rose bushes under the bay window which will be nice to see this Spring. I worked at this area yesterday and I really enjoyed the light and the view to the backyard. I use the space to write checks letters to my clients and pay bills so it will be nice to be in the main area of the house so I don’t miss out on any of the action. I used command media hooks on the back of the desk to hide the cords. The desk looks nice on an angle in the corner. He looks nice next to the monthly print that I have displayed from Dear Lillie. I put my snowmen out after Christmas and this guy is my favorite. It creates some much needed height and provides a space for me to display holiday items and nic-nacs. I love the tall bookcase on the side of the room. The room looks much more full and has a nice flow to it. We had to rearrange the space to make it all work and I am really pleased with the results. For the last two years the bedroom has only had a desk and chair in it and with the transition we needed to find new place for the desk to live.Īfter trying it in a few places we decided that it looked best in our living room. As I mentioned in last Friday’s day in the life post I am currently working on creating a little “she den” for myself in one of the bedrooms in our home.
